Adiabatic calorimeter is widely used in chemical production safety. It can be used to determine a safe operating temperature range to help avoid the risk of fire and explosion caused by overheating and decomposition reactions. By measuring the self-accelerating decomposition temperature (SADT) and the bulk self-heating temperature, the thermal stability and potential self-heating risk of a chemical under specific conditions can be assessed. In addition, by measuring the ultimate pressure, it is possible to know the pressure bearing capacity of the chemical under certain conditions and avoid dangerous situations caused by overpressure. In summary, the AcTherm series of calorimeters provides an effective method to assess thermal hazards in the production of chemicals and to help develop appropriate safety measures.
